You may have heard of the Dolce vita, a carefree lighthearted approach to life without the usual burdens typically associated with the Italian lifestyle.

The great beauty of Rome permeates our daily routine. As you make your way around Rome, you can't help but notice the amazing statues, beautiful buildings and historical landmarks such as Piazza Navona. It is not unusual to turn a corner and suddenly find yourself in front of the majesty of the Colosseum, or come across the architectural perfection of the Pantheon. Soon you come to realize that your daily existence will be filled by this great beauty.

All of this beauty basks in the pleasant climate of Rome, with lots of sunny days that puts you in a constant good mood. We, Romans, are not familiar with grey skies and therefore Hamlet's Shakespearian doubt does not damp our spirit. Just come with us to observe one of those fiery sunsets that characterizes Rome. We will give you the key to fully understand and enjoy the Italian way of food, which combines the Mediterranean diet and Slow Food with conviviality and happiness leading to well-being and longevity.

You will come to know the Roman people, a cosmopolitan, kind and friendly people of a city that is more than 2000 years old. You will be treated as if you were real Romans rather than tourists, because since the times of ancient Rome our motto has been civis romanus sum meaning we are all Romans.

We can’t forget to mention cinema. We will take you to visit the famous Cinecittà studios so that you can discover Italian masterpieces for yourself. By the way, did you know that the term Dolce Vita comes from the beautiful film that celebrates the carefree postwar Italian life by the great film director Fellini? In the movie, there is a scene where the famous actress Anita Eckberg immerses herself in Rome’s Trevi Fountain. Of course, you will not be able to do that but you can use your imagination!

You may be familiar with the term paparazzo that comes from a famous film. So you definitely can't miss the opportunity to hear and learn from the “king” of the paparazzi who will be our guest for an evening. Can you imagine? One of the most famous Italian photographers who experienced the golden age of paparazzi will share real stories about one of the most beautiful periods in recent history.

In addition to our talented Italian language teachers, you will learn from an exceptional film director who will show you places from various scenes in the Dolce vita seen through the "cinematic" eye. You will also learn from our photographer who, if you would like, will teach you the ways to make your photos beautiful. That way, you will not only have memorable experiences but also artifacts that you can show and enjoy. Surely, it will be hard to avoid getting the urge to visit Rome again and again every time you see your photos.

LA “DOLCE VITA” A ROMA

Sappiamo che la definizione di Dolce Vita rimanda ad un modo di vivere spensierato e scanzonato,senza i problemi tipici dell’esistenza, il quale universalmente viene identificato con un certo modo di vivere degli italiani, il classico Italian style.

Il camminare all’ombra del Colosseo o passare quotidianamente da Piazza Navona, ritrovarsi di fronte alla maestosità del Colosseo, o ammirare la perfezione architettonica del Pantheon, insomma essere circondati come noi a Roma, nelle nostre azioni quotidiane dalla Grande Bellezza, tutto ciò costituisce una linfa incredibile la nostra quotidiana esistenza.

Cornice del tutto il clima quasi sempre mite di Roma ed un sole caldo che provocano buonumore costante. Il grigiore del cielo non lo conosciamo e quindi Il dubbio skakespiriano di Amleto poco si confà al nostro spirito. Tanta bellezza vi lenisce da qualsiasi cattivo pensiero o dubbio che possiate avere avuto, è medicina pura contro il malumore perché basta che veniate con noi ad osservare , in uno di quei tramonti rosso fuoco che Roma caratterizza, la cupola di San Pietro ed il vostro cuore non potrà che indulgere a dolci pensieri.

Volete vivere l’Arte e noi vi porteremo in giro per l’antica Roma a vedere Il museo archeologico a cielo aperto più grande del Mondo, o la sublimità delle sue famose chiese Barocche e poi i musei più famosi del Mondo, da quelli Vaticani a galleria Borghese.

Volete assaporare il nostro delizioso cibo ed il nettare dei migliori vini nei piccoli ristoranti dei vicoli di Trastevere o quello di tradizione Kosher nel bellissimo ghetto di Roma, e noi vi daremo anche la chiave per gustarvelo appieno, quello che, insomma, è chiamato L’Italian Way of Fooding che altro non significa che dieta Mediterranea unita alla convivialità, allo Slow Food, ma soprattutto alla socialità ed allegria che danno benessere e lunga vita.

E poi il popolo romano, un popolo di una città cosmopolita da più di 2000 anni. Un popolo gentile ed amichevole che vi tratterà come se foste romani veri e non turisti, perché fin dai tempi dell’antica Roma il motto è civis romanus sum, tutti siamo “romani” .

Ed infine il cinema, non solo perché vi porteremo a visitare i famosi studi di Cinecittà, ma soprattutto, per il fatto che,come già saprete, il termine di “Dolce Vita” viene dal bellissimo film del grande Fellini che la vita appunto spensierata del dopoguerra celebra. Certo non potrete immergervi nella Fontana di Trevi come nel film fa la famosa attrice Anita Eckberg, ma quando la fontana famosa vedrete, non mettete limiti almeno alla vostra immaginazione.

Infine una “chicca”: conoscete tutto il termine “paparazzo” che da quel quel famoso film viene. Sarà nostro ospite una sera il “re dei paparazzi”, uno dei più famosi fotografi italiani che quel periodo d’oro ha vissuto e lavorato. Ma non sentirete gossip , sentirete storie reali di uno dei periodi più belli della nostra recente storia.

Oltre ai nostri bravissimi insegnanti di italiano, seguiranno il nostro percorso un regista di eccezione che vi illustrerà con occhio “cinematografico” i luoghi delle varie scene della Dolce vIta e la nostra fotografa, che se vi occorre, vi insegnerà i trucchi del mestiere per fare le vostre fotografie ancor più belle. Cosi non saranno solo ricordi di una bella esperienza, ma un motivo ricorrente per, quando ogni volta quelle fotografie rivedrete, pensare di tornare presto a farci visita.
