Are you thinking of spending your summer holidays in Italy? No problem, with the "Green Pass" it will be simple! Our schools in Florence, Milan, Rome, Turin and Viareggio are ready and safe to welcome you, what are you waiting for?
Here is everything you need to know about the Covid Green Pass, to understand how it works, how to apply for it and what is the situation in Europe.
What is the "Green Pass"?
The Green Pass is a digital health certificate with which it is possible to travel in Europe without restrictions. The European certificate will come into force in the second half of June and will allow tourists to travel between different European countries, without the obligation of quarantine.
How do I get the certificate?
You can request the certificate if:
- been vaccinated against Covid-19;
- you got a negative result after the swab;
- you are completely recovered from Covid-19.
How much does it cost and how does it work?
The Green Pass is a free document, it can be in digital and/or paper format and is a safe and secure certificate to guarantee the privacy of European citizens. It is available both in its national language and in English, also equipped with a QR code for quick scanning of information through special readers or the smartphone camera.
How long is the Green Pass valid for?
At the moment it is expected that the document will have a duration of 6 months for those who have recovered from Covid-19 or have been vaccinated, while for those who have carried out the rapid or molecular test the validity is 48 hours from the date of the test.
Italy reopens to tourists, EU quarantine stops
From May 15, quarantine is no longer required to enter Italy from other EU countries, Great Britain and Israel. All you need is:
- the negative swab report
- the Covid vaccination certificate
- the certificate of recovery
The obligation of quarantine remains for non-European travelers. In mid-June, it is expected that it will also be abolished for those arriving from the USA, China, and Russia.
