Do you think you are not so young anymore for a language course? Wrong!
Now Scuola Leonardo Da Vinci organizes “La Dolce Vita”, the Italian Language and Culture Course for mature students of any age. This course is specifically designed for senior students whose desire is to learn Italian language and in the meantime to enjoy our wonderful country, full of traditions, art, history and culture. That’s why we thought about a program that could involve all these requirements.
You will learn Italian in a pleasant and relaxing environment, in classes of small groups and with qualified Italian mother-tongue teachers. In addition, there’s a wide range of cultural activities offered by our school which you can take part to, such as field-trips in Tuscany countryside, walking tours, guided tours, visits to the most important museums and monuments, concerts, and also traditional dinners having the chance to taste our culinary traditions and wines.
The course has a duration of one week and you will attend 20 lessons plus visits and excursions.
You will find different course programs according to the city you choose, but usually in the morning you will attend a course of Standard Italian Language, designed to improve language and conversational skills, and heighten the awareness and appreciation of the Italian culture. Whereas, in the afternoon, you will have the chance to take part to the several activities organized by our school.
On the first day of the language course, your knowledge of Italian will be determined by an entry test and an interview. Students with no knowledge of Italian will be assigned to the beginner level. Our schools offer courses on six ability levels, following the Assessment Grid of the European Language Portfolio: Beginner, Elementary, Intermediate, Advanced, Proficient and Diploma.
