A group of students from Guilford College (Greensboro, NC) have just finished their semester abroad attending Italian language, Art History and Music History courses at our Scuola Leonardo da Vinci campus in Siena. Students also participated in a beginning drawing course taught by Guilford professor Roy Nydorf, which focused on Renaissance and late Medieval techniques and approaches to drawing such as rendering of light and form, cityscapes, architecture, and narrative elements.
We organized a small one-day exhibition of the drawings and invited all the Leonardo da Vinci students, the Guilford host families, and other special guests to a reception with terrific food and drinks. The feedback was good for the students and it was a fun and happy occasion for all!
