At the beginning of this year we met Sofia, a true volcano of energy and creativity. Let's read how her experience went!
Hello everyone! Today I want to tell you about my Italian experience, a journey that has changed my life in ways I never imagined. I am Ana Sofia, a 23-year-old Mexican graphic designer with a passion for content creation and two successful businesses, including my beloved ice cream shops.
My love for ice cream was born during a trip to Asia, in Tokyo, where I discovered 'soft' ice cream, which I now sell in my shops. This passion pushed me to open my first shop in Mexico, but my dream is to bring my gelato to Italy.
LEARNING ITALIAN ITALY
My Italian adventure started thanks to a film I saw a few years ago, 'Sorry If I Love You'. From that moment on, I knew I would learn Italian and experience Italian culture. The similarities between Italian and Mexican culture have always fascinated me: from the importance of family and friends to the delicious food we share.
To realise this dream, I decided to learn Italian and chose Milan as my destination. The Scuola Leonardo da Vinci was my home for six weeks, where I learnt the language and met extraordinary people from all over the world. The dynamic lessons and fantastic teachers made learning fun and rewarding.
MILAN, THE CITY THAT STOLE MY HEART
Milan was a surprising discovery. Many people think there is not much to do, but I found a city rich in culture, art and entertainment. Exploring Milan was a real adventure, between museums, restaurants and historical buildings. I love the Milanese aperitivo tradition and would like to bring it to my city in Mexico! Also, before coming here, I never liked the taste of coffee. But I would always have a coffee here with my new friends during my break: Italian coffee really has something special!
What makes Milan even more special is its central location in Europe, which makes it perfect for travelling. Thanks to its size and efficient transport network, it is easy to explore the city and reach other destinations in Italy and Europe.
BEST MEMORIES
The most precious memory I will always carry in my heart is the friendship I found here. The wonderful people I met made this experience even more special.
So, if you are thinking of having a similar experience, I strongly encourage you to do so. Whether you come for a week, a month or a year, the experience and the friendships you will make will be priceless.
Thank you for sharing this adventure with me. I hope my story will inspire others to embark on a similar journey and discover the beauty and enormous richness of Italian culture. Goodbye and have a safe journey!
