It was announced that the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 will be held in Turin from 10 to 14 May and our city will once again be the capital of young music.
Turin will be the third Italian city to host the event, after Italian rock band Måneskin’s victory in Rotterdam earlier this year with the song ‘Zitti e buoni’.
Among artists, delegations, accredited journalists, tourists and fans 90,000 visitors from all over the world are expected in the city.
The arena will be held at the PalaOlimpico, while the Eurovillage, where fans will have the opportunity to see their favorite artists perform live for free before the Eurovision Song Contest, will be held in piazza San Carlo.
It is not yet known where the Euroclub will be set up, the large official disco, where accredited fans, delegates, the press and many singers meet after the shows and Eurocafè, a bar that will be active in the two weeks of presence. of the review, with live music and many guests.
We are happy that Turin is once again one of the most important destinations in Europe in the musical field. Turin became famous in the 1990s as a musical avant-garde laboratory when bands such as Subsonica and Africa Unite emerged.
Even today the situation is extraordinarily prosperous thanks to the techno and house music festivals. In the summer the absolute protagonist is Kappa FuturFestival, capable of bringing over 40 thousand
people in two days, for some years the city has also been moving during Halloween with Club TO Club and Movement, the autumn version of FuturFestival.
A 2022 full of events awaits us that will bring not only Turin, but Italy, on the map of great international music.
