Eurovision Song Contest is coming back!

The countdown for this year's Eurovision Song Contest has begun. The competition will challenge singers from 37 countries (European and non-European) and will take place at the Liverpool Arena from 9 May to 13 May.

Spotify data from the last month (from March 25 to April 25) tell us that the song Due Vite by Marco Mengoni is the second most listened to among those in the competition.

How to watch the contest?
The competition will challenge singers from 37 countries (European and non-European) and will take place at the Liverpool Arena from 9 May to 13 May. In Italy it is possible to follow the semi-finals and the final on Rai 1.
Eurovision can be followed not only on TV but also in streaming, in the original language, on the dedicated Youtube channel.

Did you know this?
The Eurovision Song Contest was born in Italy on the initiative of Rai and on the example of the Italian song festival of Sanremo and the International Song Festival, organized by Rai since 1955 in Venice, in which Austria, France, Belgium, Italy, Monaco, Holland and that it was broadcast only by radio. The first edition of Eurovision was held the following year in Lugano and was born as an experiment for the simultaneous live broadcast of the show in the various participating countries. The winner of the first edition was Lys Assia, the representative of Switzerland, with Refrain.

The best of Italian music
On Spotify you can immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the most awaited European contest of the year by listening to the official Eurovision playlist. The Sound of Italy has been entrusted to Diodato who has to create a best of Italian music to present to the most curious international listeners, with his selection of songs to prepare for the 2023 edition.

Which song will win this year?
Last year the competition was held in Turin because the previous edition was won by the Måneskin (we talked about it here). In Turin Stefania from Ukraine won with "Kalush".
Based on the ratings of the official playlist on Spotify, this year's podium would seem to be: the Swedish Loreen on the top step, Marco Mengoni in second place and the Italian, but Norwegian by adoption, Alessandra Mele in third.

Whoever wins we expect a spectacular and exciting event as in the last editions!
